The works of the 17th and 18th centuries in Rome: Squares and fountains will be the backdrop to a unique experience that you can encounter only in Rome.
The itinerary starts with the Spanish Steps, the Fountain of the Ugly Boat (built by Bernini father and son) and the staircase of Trinità dei Monti with the Egyptian obelisk. We go on with the Church of Sant’Andrea delle Fratte and two wonderful statues of angels made by Bernini. Then we reach the Trevi Fountain, the most famous fountain in Rome, with the allegories of water as a source of life and abundance. Get ready for an extraordinary view!
In Piazza Colonna, the seat of the government, you will be surprised while observing the column dedicated to the emperor Marcus Aurelius, which is in the background of Chigi Palace. Then it is time for Piazza Montecitorio, the seat of the Italian Chambre of Deputies, decorated with an obelisk gnome which indicates the time.
It is impossible not to visit Piazza Navona, famous for its exceptional baroque scenery, with the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini, the Church of St. Agnese in Agone (inside and outside) and the Pamphilij Palace (outside), built by Borromini.
